4 Lao Tzu Quotes of Wisdom to Contemplate this Weekend
I have grabbed 4 of my favorite quotes and added my thoughts to them, so that I can help inspire you to contemplate these quotes and then act on them over the weekend.
The goal is simply to move into a positive state, filled with Peace, Compassion, Love and Gratitude.
“Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.”
― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
Think about the areas in your life that seem frustrating, complex, overwhelming and are stealing your joy and happiness. Focus on Simplifying those areas of your life, whether that is financial commitments, social commitments, trying to do too much or whatever it may be. Simplify.
Practice being more patient in situations that cause negative emotions within. Compassion is a wonderful healer and helps us find more peace when we practice more compassion to those people, situations and ourselves. Practice compassion.
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
― Lao Tzu
Let go of trying to control everything and practice going with what life deals you. Don’t settle for less, just don’t let it overwhelm and stress you. Accept it and think about how you can make positive change from it.
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
― Lao Tzu
What’s holding you back from realizing the life of your dreams? Thoughts? Situations? It doesn’t matter, just keep moving forward no matter how small the step. Take ACTION!
“Care about what other people think and you will always be their prisoner.”
― Lao Tzu
What other people think of you is none of your business. This is your life. Be free and live it like you want to.
Have a great weekend and believe you can have the life you want.
Blessings
